Smyrna Bypass Track

Project included the construction and all related site work to construct a 13,790′ bypass track, 1,938′ track shift, and 3,375′ track raise. Polivka International worked with EMH&T on the design-build of a retaining wall, culvert extension, and grade crossing on this project.

Shelby Siding

Work included the construction of 11,900′ siding with #20 turnouts on each end. In addition, work included construction of two bridges for the siding and all associated site work.

Lucas Siding Extension

Siding extensions of approximately 7,003′ included the construction of turnouts, roadbed, construction pads, access drives, new culverts, and removal of existing main line bridge and replacement with box culverts.

High Oak Yard Expansion

Project included construction of three separate tracks with a combined length of approximately 5,100′ at repair in place facility, and the construction of three tracks with a combined length of 17,500′ at the receiving and departure tracks. All work included associated site work required, including relocation of various utilities, storm drainage, and demolition.

Helme Siding Extension

Project included the installation of turnouts and a 5,700′ siding. Project included construction of roadbed and construction pads, all new track, access drives, new culverts, and all associated earthwork.

Cowan to Decherd Double Track Project

Project included 6 miles of double track and all associated site work, including extensive excavation. Polivka International worked with EMH&T on the design of a crash wall on this project.
